This Steak & Grill Sauce is made by MA's Kitchen under its Dad's Garden label. It is a steak sauce with a difference: a fusion of American and Asian steak sauces, sweet and tangy from tomato, dates and vinegar, with a long list of spices behind it.
Ginger, tamarind, pepper, mustard, lemongrass, chilli, cinnamon, star anise and a dozen more Sri Lankan spices give it more depth than a typical brown sauce. Dad's Garden suggests pouring it over anything savoury, from grilled meats to omelettes. It also works well as a marinade or as the base for a stir-fry. The 260ml bottle is a handy size to keep beside the barbecue or on the kitchen table. Note that it contains sprats and soybean.

How to use
Pour over grilled steak, chicken, pork or sausages straight from the grill, or serve at the table as a dipping sauce. It is also good spooned over an omelette. To marinate, coat meat with the sauce and leave it for a while before grilling or barbecuing. For a quick stir-fry, add a few spoonfuls to the wok with your meat and vegetables and toss until glossy.
