MA's Kitchen Clove Powder is ground from handpicked cloves, with nothing else added. It is a potent, aromatic spice with a warm, complex, sweet and slightly pungent flavour.
Ground clove is used in both sweet and savoury cooking. In Sri Lanka it goes into traditional stews and biriyanis and into roasted curry blends; elsewhere it is common in cakes, biscuits, puddings and spiced drinks. A little goes a long way, which makes a 25g pack practical for regular cooking without losing its fragrance before you use it up.

How to use
Use a pinch to a quarter teaspoon at a time, as clove is strong. Stir it into stews, biriyani and meat curries along with the other ground spices, or add it to a homemade curry or garam masala blend. In baking, mix it into the dry ingredients for spiced cakes, biscuits and Christmas puddings, or add a pinch to mulled drinks.
