Mc Currie Curry Leaves Powder is dried curry leaves (karapincha) ground to a fine green powder. It brings the familiar curry leaf aroma to a dish when fresh sprigs are not to hand.
Fresh curry leaves are small, shiny and dark green, and they are tempered in hot oil at the start of many Sri Lankan curries. The powder is stirred in instead. It is cleaned, graded, ground and packed at the maker's factory in Makumbura, Pannipitiya, and vacuum packed in a red printed pouch.
