Whole cumin seeds, packed by Malwatte in a 50g glass shaker bottle. The label reads Cumin Seeds, All Natural.
Cumin has a warm, earthy flavour with a slightly bitter edge that turns nutty when the seeds are toasted. In Sri Lanka it is one of the spices roasted and ground for curry powder, and whole seeds are used across South Asian, Middle Eastern and Mexican cooking.
