Malwatte Mustard Seeds is whole brown mustard seeds, packed in a 50g printed card carton. It comes from Malwatte Valley Plantations, which processes and packs spices in its own factory.
The small dark seeds pop and turn nutty when tempered in hot oil. Mustard seeds are a common start to Sri Lankan dhal, vegetable curries and pickles.

In the kitchen

Storage
Once opened, move the mustard seeds into an airtight jar, or keep the carton tightly closed, in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
