Mc Currie Kiri Hodi Mixture is a dry spice mix for kiri hodi, the mild Sri Lankan coconut milk gravy that is usually served with string hoppers. This is the 45g pouch.
Kiri hodi is quick to make: the mixture is simmered in thin coconut milk, then finished with thicker milk. It is often eaten hot with string hoppers, pol sambol or bread, and vegetables or fish can be cooked in it for a fuller curry. It is cleaned, graded, ground and packed at the maker's factory in Makumbura, Pannipitiya, and vacuum packed in a red printed pouch.
