This Worcestershire Sauce is made by MA's Kitchen under its Dad's Garden label. It is a classic condiment with a complex, savoury depth: tangy, spiced and rich in umami.
Vinegar and tamarind give the sauce its characteristic sharpness, sprats and soybean its savoury base, and a long list of Sri Lankan spices, including lemongrass, chilli, ginger, coriander, cumin, cinnamon, fennel, garcinia and clove, adds warmth and aroma. A few dashes lift marinades, stews and soups, and it is a key ingredient in a Bloody Mary. The 260ml bottle is a cupboard staple for anyone who likes to season as they cook. Note that it contains fish, soybean and mustard.
