This Sweet Soy Sauce is made by MA's Kitchen under its Dad's Garden label. It is a rich, thick sauce that balances salty and sweet, adding a rounded umami flavour to everyday cooking.
Soybean, sugar, garlic and salt form the base, with a light spicing of ginger, pepper, clove, cinnamon and star anise that gives it a warm, aromatic edge. Its thickness makes it good for drizzling over rice, for marinating meat before grilling, and as a dipping sauce for satays and spring rolls. It is also handy in the wok for a quick glaze on noodles or vegetables. The 260ml bottle is a practical size for a household that cooks Asian-style dishes regularly.

How to use
Drizzle over plain or fried rice, or serve in a small bowl as a dipping sauce for satays and spring rolls. To marinate, coat chicken, beef or tofu in the sauce and leave it for a while before grilling or stir-frying. In the wok, add a spoonful or two towards the end of cooking to glaze noodles, meat or vegetables.
