About this experience
Национальный парк Миннерия расположен в Североцентральной провинции Шри-Ланки и является одним из самых известных заповедников дикой природы в стране. Парк построен вокруг древнего водохранилища, которое привлекает необычайную концентрацию дикой природы. Парк наиболее известен «Собранием» — сезонным событием в сухие месяцы, когда сотни слонов стекаются на обнажённый берег водохранилища, чтобы пастись, общаться и купаться — одна из самых больших таких концентраций азиатских слонов в мире. Помимо слонов, открытые луга и окружающий лес населены оленями, водяными буйволами и богатым разнообразием птиц.
Обычное посещение длится около трёх часов и охватывает берег водохранилища и луговые маршруты парка на внедорожнике 4х4. Ваш водитель также служит вашим проводником, читая ландшафт, отыскивая дикую природу и сохраняя уважительное расстояние от животных. Входные билеты заказываются заранее, так что в день посещения вам не придётся стоять в очереди у ворот.
Минимальный возраст для участия — пять лет. Для тех, кто остаётся в пределах 5 км от ворот парка, заезд и высадка входят в стоимость бронирования.

A great place to see elephants in the wild
A really good afternoon trip. We saw plenty of elephants and you could get soo close to them. Our driver was really good and flung some great spots. However, it did get congested at times with los of other jeeps doing t…

Horrible, trafic jams, exhaust fumes, vehicles not adapted, elephants harassed
Horrible! We were in jeeps so couldn’t see if we were sat - behind driver. If we stood the road was so rough we were thrown around and ended up black and blue. Too old for that in our 70’s!
Far too many jeeps allowed in.…
