About this experience
미네리야 국립공원은 스리랑카 북중부 지역에 위치하며, 고대 저수지를 중심으로 조성된 국내 최고의 야생동물 보호구역 중 하나입니다. 이곳은 건기 동안 수백 마리의 코끼리가 저수지의 노출된 해안선에 모여 풀을 뜯고, 사교활동을 하고, 목욕하는 계절 행사인 «더 개더링»으로 가장 유명합니다. 이는 세계 어디에서나 볼 수 있는 최대 규모의 아시아 코끼리 집단 중 하나입니다. 코끼리 외에도 개방된 초원과 주변 숲에는 사슴, 물소, 그리고 풍부한 조류가 서식하고 있습니다.
일반적인 방문은 약 3시간이 소요되며, 4x4 지프로 저수지 해안선과 공원의 초원 회로를 둘러봅니다. 운전기사는 풍경을 읽고 동물들을 찾으면서 적절한 거리를 유지하는 추적자 역할도 합니다. 입장권은 미리 예약되므로 당일 게이트에서 줄을 설 필요가 없습니다.
참가 최소 연령은 5세입니다. 공원 게이트에서 5km 이내에 숙박하는 경우, 픽업 및 드롭오프가 예약에 포함됩니다.

A great place to see elephants in the wild
A really good afternoon trip. We saw plenty of elephants and you could get soo close to them. Our driver was really good and flung some great spots. However, it did get congested at times with los of other jeeps doing t…

Horrible, trafic jams, exhaust fumes, vehicles not adapted, elephants harassed
Horrible! We were in jeeps so couldn’t see if we were sat - behind driver. If we stood the road was so rough we were thrown around and ended up black and blue. Too old for that in our 70’s!
Far too many jeeps allowed in.…
