Virgin coconut oil spiced with cardamom, from the Baraka range made in Sri Lanka by Bio Extracts (Pvt) Ltd. The maker produces the oil using traditional methods and adds cardamom for a rich, spicy flavour and aroma.
According to the maker, the virgin coconut oil holds more than 64% medium chain fatty acids, about 76% of which are lauric acid. It stands up well to heat, so it works for frying as well as for finishing dishes, and the cardamom brings a sweet, warm note that suits both savoury and sweet cooking.
