This pack brings together three Sri Lankan cocktail garnish spices in a single 100g set: 25g of Ceylon Alba cinnamon sticks, 25g of whole star anise, and 50g of cinnamon and sugar powder. Each component is packed separately, so the sticks, pods, and powder are ready to use precisely as a recipe calls for them. The pack is a product of Sri Lanka, made for Me Ventures (Pvt) Ltd in Colombo.
The cinnamon in this pack is Alba grade — the narrowest, most labour-intensive of the Ceylon cinnamon grades, formed from the finest innermost layers of bark, hand-rolled into tight quills and sun-dried. The resulting quills are a pale, warm golden-brown, noticeably lighter than lower grades. Ceylon cinnamon of this grade is harvested in smaller quantities than any other, and it carries a delicate, sweet fragrance that holds up well when used as a stirrer or garnish in a drink.
The star anise pods are whole dried fruit, recognisable by their eight-pointed form. Their aroma is strong, sweet, and distinctly anise-like — assertive enough to perfume a glass or a warm drink from a single pod. The cinnamon and sugar powder rounds out the set, suited to dusting across the surface of a drink or running around the rim of a glass to add both flavour and texture.
All three ingredients are listed as 100% pure, and the packaging carries no added flavours, colours, or preservatives.
