Ahmad Tea Ceylon OPA is a loose black tea made from the OPA (Orange Pekoe A) grade, which consists of the largest tea leaves produced in Sri Lanka. Compared with other grades and black teas, it has a milder taste and a lighter liquor with a gentler colour in the cup.
That mildness makes it a versatile tea. Some will take it simply as it is, hot and freshly brewed; others prefer it with a dash of milk for a creamier, fuller texture, and on a warm day it works well over ice with a wedge of lemon. It is a good leaf for anyone who likes to explore the different grades of Ceylon tea side by side, and this carton holds 454g of loose tea, enough for many pots.
How to brew
Brew in freshly drawn, boiled water for 4–5 minutes. Add a dash of fresh milk for a creamier, thicker cup, or serve it with a couple of ice cubes and a wedge of lemon.
