The title translates roughly as "bird feathers". Godage publishes widely across Sinhala fiction, poetry, biography and general non-fiction, and produces the kind of paperback trade edition that fills bookshop shelves in Sri Lanka but rarely reaches shops abroad.
That last point is usually the reason someone outside the country goes looking for a book like this. Sinhala titles are printed for the domestic market and seldom stocked overseas, which leaves readers in the diaspora, students of Sinhala literature, and university and community libraries building Sinhala collections dependent on ordering from Sri Lanka itself.
Worth considering if you read Sinhala and are adding contemporary Godage titles to a personal or institutional collection. If you do not read Sinhala, this edition will not be usable.
