Silver Elephant is an Orange Pekoe (OP) pure Ceylon black tea from the Parade Elephant range by Battler. This is the 100 g loose leaf carton, foil-sealed inside, and a lower-cost refill for the Silver Elephant tin caddy.
OP is a whole, long, wiry leaf grade. It brews more slowly than broken grades and gives a lighter, cleaner cup, so it rewards a full steeping time.

Tasting notes
A bright, golden-amber cup that is brisk and clean, with a light body and a smooth finish.
How to brew
- Use one teaspoon (about 2.5 g) of leaf per cup.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain.
Serving ideas
Good plain or with a slice of lemon. A little milk is fine, but this light OP shows best without it. Brew a pot of four to five cups for guests.
