About this experience
Rise before dawn and meet your crew at the launch site near Sigiriya. Watch the balloon inflate, climb into the basket, and lift gently above the Cultural Triangle as the sun breaks over the horizon. For roughly an hour you drift across open sky, taking in the reservoir at Kandalama, the cave temples of Dambulla, and the flat-topped rock of Sigiriya below. The flight is shared with other guests and lasts approximately 1 hour 45 minutes from start to finish. Minimum age is 10. Note that all flights are subject to weather conditions.
If you are staying in Habarana, Kandalama, Sigiriya, or Dambulla, Lakpura arranges a complimentary pickup from your hotel to the launch site and back in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Entrance tickets are included. Food, beverages, gratuities, and personal expenses are not covered, so carry a little cash for anything you'd like on the ground.
