Mc Currie Katta Sambol Mix is a dry, fiery red mix for making katta sambol, the hot chilli sambol served in Sri Lankan homes with breakfast dishes. It saves the work of pounding the chilli base yourself.
The dry range is cleaned, graded, ground and packed at the maker's factory in Makumbura, Pannipitiya, with raw materials and finished products tested in its own laboratory. The pouch carries the line "ISO 22000 Food Safety System Certified".

How to serve
- With hoppers, string hoppers and kiribath (milk rice)
- With roti, pol roti and bread
- As a spicy spread in a sandwich
- Mix with finely chopped onion and a squeeze of lime if you like it fresher; it is hot, so start small
Storage
Keep the pouch tightly closed, or tip the spice into an airtight jar, and store it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
