Il Parco Nazionale di Wasgamuwa si estende nei distretti di Matale e Polonnaruwa e figura tra le più importanti riserve naturali dello Sri Lanka. Very quiet park but its a long drive in.
Only 7 jeeps in the park the whole day. We found it good for birds but less so for anything other than the common creatures. Good number of open spaces.

Relaxed morning
We were traveling with the driver Shameera. He speaks a bit of German and has a lot of experience as he has been touring for 10 years. He told us a lot about the animals. It was a nice morning!
