About this experience
Wasgamuwa National Park sträcker sig över Matale och Polonnaruwa distrikt och är en av Sri Lankas mest framstående naturreservat. Tidig morgon och sen eftermiddag är fortfarande de bästa tiderna att besöka, och erbjuder svalare förhållanden och störst sannolikhet för observationer när djur rör sig genom sin naturliga miljö.

Very quiet park but its a long drive in.
Only 7 jeeps in the park the whole day. We found it good for birds but less so for anything other than the common creatures. Good number of open spaces.

Relaxed morning
We were traveling with the driver Shameera. He speaks a bit of German and has a lot of experience as he has been touring for 10 years. He told us a lot about the animals. It was a nice morning!
