Experience:

The session is held in a quiet traditional workshop, where you see how reclaimed coconut shells are turned into handmade jewellery. An experienced local artisan works with you directly as you handle the materials, shape your chosen design and finish a piece to take home as a souvenir of Sri Lanka.

The workshop is run for small groups, which leaves room for plenty of hands-on guidance and time to ask about sustainable crafting techniques. You also learn how shells that might otherwise be discarded can be reused to make practical, environmentally friendly products.

Taking part supports local artisans, encourages sustainable practice and helps preserve Sri Lanka's traditional craftsmanship. The jewellery you make is a lasting reminder of the time you spent crafting in Sigiriya.
