MA's Kitchen Roast Seasoning is a dry blend of herbs and spices made for roasting. Sprinkled over food before it goes into the oven, it forms a savoury crust and gives the dish a warm, spiced aroma as it cooks.
The blend brings together turmeric, ginger, pepper, cinnamon, garlic, curry leaves, coriander, cardamom, clove, cumin, mustard, nutmeg and celery leaves, with salt, onion and lime. It works on vegetables, chicken, beef and potatoes alike, so one 50g pack covers a weekday tray of roast potatoes as easily as a Sunday chicken. It is a simple way to give everyday roasts a gentle Sri Lankan character without measuring out a cupboard of separate spices.
Ingredients
- Spices & Herbs (Turmeric, Ginger, Pepper, Cinnamon, Garlic, Curry Leaves, Coriander, Cardamom, Clove, Cumin, Mustard, Nutmeg, Celery Leaves)
- Salt
- Onion
- Lime
Allergens: Mustard.
How to use
Prepare your vegetables, chicken, beef or potatoes for roasting, toss them in a little oil and sprinkle the seasoning over generously so every piece is coated. Roast as usual; the blend forms a savoury, aromatic crust as the food cooks. Taste before adding any extra salt, as the seasoning already contains it.
