Kist Wood Apple Jam is a dark, tart-sweet jam of wood apple (divul), a hard-shelled fruit from Sri Lanka's dry zone.
How to use it
Have it on toast or with bread and butter, or spoon it over curd or ice cream.
Once opened, keep the jar closed in the fridge and use a clean, dry spoon.
Cargills says Kist buys its fruit from Sri Lankan farmers in season and packs it aseptically, so it keeps for the rest of the year without a preservative. For every kilo of fruit and vegetables it buys, Cargills puts 50 cents into the Sarubima Fund, which pays for the education of farmers' children.
Kist is a Cargills (Ceylon) brand, made in Sri Lanka.
