About this experience
Over 26 days, this private minivan tour takes you through the full breadth of Sri Lanka — from ancient kingdoms to misty highlands and palm-fringed beaches. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide drives you to Anuradhapura, the island's first capital, then on to the rock fortress at Sigiriya, the five cave shrines of Dambulla's Golden Temple, and the pagodas and palace ruins of Polonnaruwa. Fuel, parking, and highway tolls are all covered throughout.
The journey continues into the cool hills of Kandy, last seat of Sri Lanka's royal line, before winding down to Nuwara Eliya's colonial streetscapes and one of the world's great scenic train rides. The tour rounds off at Sri Lanka's finest beaches — golden sand, clear water, and coconut palms. Accommodation, entrance fees, airfares, and personal expenses are arranged separately.
