About this experience
Wilpattu is Sri Lanka's largest national park and wildlife reserve — a vast tropical wilderness of dry rainforest, lakes and open grassland that shelters some of the island's most sought-after wildlife. On this private safari you travel in your own jeep, limited to six passengers, with an experienced driver who doubles as your tracker across the park's varied terrain.
As you venture deeper in search of elusive animals and exotic plants, keep watch for elephants, leopards and several species of deer moving through the landscape. Colourful butterflies and birds add to the spectacle, and free pickup and drop-off from within five kilometres of the Hunuwilagama or Eluwankulama park gates makes the day effortless.
