About this experience
Udawalawe National Park ligt in de droge zone van Zuid-Sri Lanka en is een van de meest betrouwbare plekken in het land om grote kuddes Aziatische olifanten in open grasland te zien. Het park grenst ook aan het Udawalawe-reservoir, waarvan de oevers waterbuffels, krokodillen en verschillende watervogelsoorten aantrekken. Een enkele ronde door het park is daarom lonend in verschillende habitats.
De safari duurt drie uur en bestrijkt de belangrijkste wildernisgebieden van het park in een 4x4-jeep die met maximaal vijf andere passagiers wordt gedeeld. Uw chauffeur is ook een ervaren tracker die het landschap en sporen van dieren leest om de beste kans op betekenisvolle wildlifeervaringen te geven. Ingangskaartjes worden van tevoren via Lakpura geregeld, dus u hoeft niet in de rij te staan bij de poort bij aankomst.
Gratis ophalen en terugbrengen worden aangeboden voor elke locatie binnen 5 km van de parkpoort. Voor degenen die verder weg verblijven, zijn transfers buiten die straal beschikbaar tegen een extra vergoeding.
