우다왈라웨 국립공원은 스리랑카 남부의 건조 지역에 위치하며, 개방된 초지에서 아시아 코끼리의 큰 무리를 볼 수 있는 나라에서 가장 신뢰할 수 있는 장소 중 하나입니다. 공원은 또한 우다왈라웨 저수지와 인접해 있으며, 그 해안은 물소, 악어, 다양한 물새를 끌어들이므로 공원을 통한 단일 회로는 여러 다른 서식지에 걸쳐 보람을 줍니다.
