About this experience
Besteigen Sie Ihr privates Boot und fahren Sie über die ruhigen, salzigen Gewässer der Kalpitiya Lagoon – ein riesiges Gewässer von 126 Quadratmeilen, das den Wilpattu-Nationalpark an der Nordwestküste Sri Lankas begrenzt. Während vier Stunden gleiten Sie an Salzpfannen, entfernten Sanddünen, Garnelenzuchten und kleinen Fischerdörfern vorbei, während offene Wälder, Kokosnusspalmen und Sumpflandschaften die Ufer säumen. Ein erfahrener Naturalist begleitet Sie an Bord mit Ferngläsern und weist auf die Flora, Fauna und Vogelwelt hin – endemische und häufige Arten gleichermaßen – die die Lagoon zu ihrem Lebensraum machen.
Zwei der vier Stunden widmen sich der Vogelbeobachtung und dem genauen Erkunden des Mangrovenökosystems, wobei Ihr Naturalist Sie durch das führt, das ohne ein geschultes Auge leicht zu übersehen ist. Ein Picknick-Frühstück oder Mittagessen und Wasser sind gegebenenfalls inbegriffen.
