About this experience
Kliv ombord på din privata båt och ge dig ut över de lugna, salthaltiga vattnen i Kalpitiya Lagoon — ett omfattande område på 126 kvadratmil som gränsar till Wilpattu National Park på Sri Lankas nordvästra kust. Under fyra timmar glider du förbi saltpannor, avlägsna sanddyner, räkodlingar och små fiskebyar, medan öppna skogar, kokospalmer och träskmark sträcker sig längs stranden. En expert naturalist följer dig ombord med kikare och pekar ut flora, fauna och fågelliv — både endemiska och vanliga arter — som gör lagunen till sitt habitat.
Två av de fyra timmarna är dedicerade till fågeltitning och att utforska mangrovekosystemet på nära håll, med din naturalist som vägleder dig genom det som är lätt att missa utan ett tränat öga. En picnic-frukost eller lunch och vatten ingår där det är tillämpligt. Detta är en helt privat aktivitet som genomförs på engelska, med en minimiålder på fem år.
