Siddhalepa

Siddhalepa began in 1934 with a herbal balm. Its maker, Ayur. Dr. Hendrick De Silva Hettigoda, came from a family of Ayurvedic physicians in Walpola, Imaduwa, in the Galle district of southern Sri Lanka, and the balm in its small yellow tin became one of the most familiar things in a Sri Lankan home. His son, Dr. Victor Hettigoda, built it into the Hettigoda Group. Everything is still made in Sri Lanka, by Hettigoda Industries in Ratmalana, and the range is exported to more than twenty countries.

Today the balm sits alongside Ayurvedic elixirs, herbal teas, massage and hair oils, hand-made soaps, bath and spa products, oral care, a baby range, and the classical Ayurvedic medicines of the family's pharmacy.

The classics: Siddhalepa Balm, Siddhalepa Oil roll-on, Pain Relief Spray, Inhaler, Asamodagam Spirit, Cough Syrup, Lakpeyawa, Travel Pack.

Elixirs and tonics: Ayur Elixir Well-Being, Well Woman, Energy, Ayur Shooters, Madhu Lasuna garlic in bee honey.

Herbal teas: Ayurveda Tea 3 Cinnamon, Womankind, Night Time, After Dinner, Ayur Breathe tea bags, Ceylon green tea with herbs, the Tea Range gift box.

Massage, body and spa: Yoga Oils, Ayur Body Oils, Ayur Oils, aroma oils, bath salts, face masks, Sujatha cream.

Hair and soap: Ayur Shampoos, hand-made soaps, charcoal soap.

Oral and baby care: Supirivicky toothpaste, Sumudu toothpaste, Kekulu children's toothpaste, Kekulu baby soaps, Gripe Water, MosAway.

Classical Ayurvedic medicines: kwatha decoctions, churnaya powders, guggulu tablets, rasayana, kalka pastes.

The classical medicines are made to their traditional formulas and are sold as medicines: take them only as directed by a qualified Ayurvedic physician.
