About this experience
This seven-day stay is built around a single base on Sri Lanka's southern coast, at the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort in Wadduwa. Rather than moving between sights, the tour settles travellers into one place for a week of Ayurvedic treatment, yoga and rest, with only the arrival and departure days involving any road travel.
The week opens with a physician's consultation to assess each guest's constitution and prescribe a personal treatment and diet plan, followed by days built around yoga, meditation, guided tours of the resort's herbal garden and Ayurveda factory, and ongoing treatments. It suits travellers who want a genuine slowdown rather than a sightseeing itinerary, with qualified practitioners overseeing recovery throughout.
A private vehicle and English-speaking chauffeur guide handle the airport transfers at the start and end of the stay, with fuel, parking, highway tolls, drinking water, taxes and service charges included. Hotel accommodation, meals, entrance fees and personal expenses are arranged separately.
