In the pack
- 125 g loose leaf tea
- Metal caddy
The grade
Pekoe is a curly, rolled leaf that opens slowly in the pot. The cup is light, with a delicate taste. Many people drink it without milk.
How to brew
Allow one level teaspoon, about 2 g, of leaf per cup of freshly boiled water. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain. Drink it plain or with milk.
Storage
Keep the caddy closed in a cool, dry place, away from strong smells, and use a dry spoon.
George Steuart Teas is the tea company of George Steuart and Co., founded in Ceylon in 1835. It buys, blends and packs its teas at its own facility near Colombo.
