About this experience
Board your private vehicle with an English-speaking chauffeur guide and spend ten days moving between Sri Lanka's cultural heartland and its sun-drenched southern coast. You visit Munneswaram Kovil, the Golden Temple of Dambulla, and climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress before taking a cart ride through the surrounding countryside. A stop at the Spice and Herbal Gardens of Matale lets you smell and taste the island's famous spices, while the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy introduces you to Sri Lanka's last royal kingdom. A stroll through Nuwara Eliya's cool hill-country streets and a visit to a working tea factory and plantation round off the highlands.
From the hills, the route heads south. You join a whale-watching tour off the coast and explore Galle's historic fort city on a guided tour. Each day, two 500 ml water bottles per person are provided. Transport, fuel, parking, highway tolls, and all taxes are covered throughout. Hotel accommodation, meals, and entrance fees are arranged separately, giving you flexibility on where you stay and what you spend.
