Sali a bordo di una jeep 4WD privata e dirigiti verso il Parco Nazionale di Kaudulla per un safari di tre ore guidato da un conducente-tracker esperto. Il parco si trova nel corridoio della giungla Kaudulla-Minneriya nella regione centro-settentrionale dello Sri Lanka, coprendo 6.900 ettari di foresta sempreverde secca, pascoli aperti e terre coltivabili abbandonate. Il Kaudulla Tank — un antico bacino idrico risalente al regno del Re Mahasena nel III secolo d.C. — attira branchi di elefanti, specialmente a settembre quando la stagione secca raggiunge il picco.
