View Point Villa, Ella, Sri Lanka

Perched in the heart of one of Sri Lanka's famous Ceylon tea plantations, View Point Villa in Ella is a boutique property that blends modern comfort with the serene rhythms of hill country life. Lush greenery surrounds the villa on all sides, and the cool mountain climate lends the setting a calm that is difficult to find elsewhere on the island.

The property was only recently opened at the time of filming, making it one of Ella's newer additions. Its location — directly within a working tea plantation — offers guests an unusually close encounter with Sri Lanka's flora and fauna, while the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality ensures that comfort is never compromised.

Accommodation

View Point Villa offers five individually designed rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, hot water, and a private balcony. Two room types are available: one accommodating a maximum of three adults and another suited to two adults. A dedicated view terrace gives all guests access to spectacular panoramas over the Ella Valley, making it a natural gathering spot at any hour of the day.

Dining and Experiences

The villa caters to a range of tastes, drawing on both traditional Sri Lankan recipes and international specialties. Guests keen to go further can join cooking classes and learn the secrets of Sri Lankan cuisine firsthand. For those who simply wish to unwind, the cool elevation and tranquil surroundings provide ample reason to do nothing more than relax on a balcony and take in the views.
