Sri Villas, Induruwa, Sri Lanka

Sri Villas sits at the end of a rarely visited beach on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, where the garden blends seamlessly into half a kilometre of golden sand. Few privately owned properties along this stretch can claim an unobstructed, panoramic view of the Indian Ocean quite like this one, making it a genuinely peaceful retreat away from the busier coastal towns.

The property lies in the charming town of Induruwa, 69 kilometres from Colombo, just 10 minutes south of Bentota Beach and five minutes before Kosgoda Beach. Induruwa maintains a very peaceful and traditional existence — a quality that sets the mood for everything Sri Villas has to offer.

The Villas

Sri Villas comprises three elegant two-storey villas that can be rented separately or together, comfortably accommodating up to 18 guests in total. Each villa features luxuriously appointed interiors, generous living and dining spaces, a private kitchen, spacious balconies, and master suites with oversized en suite bathrooms. In front of the villas, a stunning 30-metre lap pool includes a shallow section with steps on one side, ideal for children.

While the villas are fully equipped for modern living, much of the design draws on traditional Sri Lankan homes. High vaulted ceilings, tall louvred doors and windows shading large open spaces allow the cooling ocean breeze to move freely through the property, providing wonderful natural ventilation.

Accommodation

Sagara Villa

Positioned on the right of the property as you look out to sea, Sagara has three bedrooms — all master suites, each with an en suite bathroom. Two suites are on the second floor with air-conditioning, and one is on the ground floor with its own outdoor shower. Every bedroom has a private balcony or verandah with breathtaking Indian Ocean views, and the garden in front leads directly to the beach.

Nisala Villa

Set in the middle of the property and overlooking the swimming pool, Nisala offers two air-conditioned master suites on the second floor, each with en suite bathrooms and outdoor showers. The villa features a very large private dining and living area, an open-plan modern kitchen with bar, and a soaring vaulted ceiling that reaches all the way to the roof. Each suite has a large private balcony with beautiful Indian Ocean views.

Araliya Villa

Sitting on the left of the property as you look out to sea, Araliya has four air-conditioned bedrooms: two master suites with en suite bathrooms on the second floor, and a junior suite with en suite bathroom plus a twin bedroom on the ground floor. Generous dining and living spaces are complemented by a part open-plan kitchen with a bar. Two private balconies upstairs and a large verandah downstairs give the villa excellent views of both the garden and the ocean.

Staff and Facilities

Sri Villas maintains its own trained, English-speaking staff in residence — some with overseas working experience — so that guests may relax completely and feel at home. Babysitting can be arranged, and one baby cot is available on site.
