Harischandra Black Peppercorns are whole dried black pepper, sold by the maker as pure peppercorn, in a 50g pack. Whole pepper keeps its sharp aroma until the moment it is cracked or ground.
Pepper is one of the old spice crops of Sri Lanka, and Harischandra has packed spices at Matara since 1958.
In the kitchen
- Grind fresh over eggs, salads, soups and grilled meat.
- Crack coarsely for the Sri Lankan pepper chicken or pepper beef curry, and for a peppery fish ambul thiyal.
