Step into the dense jungle fringe around Kitulgala and hike to Belilena Cave, one of Sri Lanka's most significant Archaeological Reserves. Your English-speaking guide leads the way through the forest trail and into the cave chambers, where fossils and skeletal remains dating back over 10,000 years were unearthed — including those of the celebrated 'Balangoda Man', a milestone in understanding early human settlement on the island. A water bottle is provided to keep you going on the trail.
This private, three-hour tour is open to travellers aged five and above, keeping the pace relaxed and the group focused on you.
