A collection of newspaper columns by Daya de Alwis, a radio broadcaster and song lyricist, gathered from the series she wrote for the Ridma supplement of the Sunday Lakbima newspaper under the title 'Ekomath Eka Dawasaka'. She contributed the column over a period of years, and this volume follows an earlier collection drawn from the same series, published under that original title.
The pieces are largely drawn from the writer's own life. Across them she sets out, through her own experience, how a woman meets what life brings her.
