A Sinhala-language legal title on testamentary case procedure — the handling of deceased persons' estates through the courts of Sri Lanka.
The work is compiled by Kapila Gamini Jayasinghe and published by M. D. Gunasena & Co. (Pvt) Ltd. Its starting point, as the publisher sets it out, is a gap in the Sinhala legal literature. Books in Sinhala dealing with testamentary case procedure had already appeared, but there was no complete digest of judicial decisions addressing the provisions of the Civil Procedure Code that govern testamentary matters alongside the practical situations that arise in them. This book was put together to meet that need.
The entire text is in Sinhala, with no English translation, so it will be usable only by readers who read Sinhala. It is written for the courts rather than the general reader: practitioners working on estate matters, those studying for professional legal examinations, and anyone following reported decisions under the Civil Procedure Code in this area.
