Question 1

How many villas does Baros Maldives have?

Accepted Answer

Baros Maldives is a boutique resort with a relatively small number of villas compared to larger Maldivian properties. The exact villa count may vary as the resort updates its inventory, so it is worth confirming current availability directly when booking. The limited size is part of the appeal — guest-to-staff ratios are high and the atmosphere is quiet.

Question 2

Does Baros Maldives have a house reef?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Baros is known for having one of the better house reefs among resorts in North Malé Atoll. It is accessible directly from the beach and from the over-water villa jetties, making it convenient for snorkellers and divers of all experience levels. The reef supports a wide variety of hard and soft corals and a healthy fish population.

Question 3

What is included in a Baros Maldives villa rate?

Accepted Answer

Baros typically offers bed-and-breakfast and half-board packages, though inclusions vary by rate type. Most rates include breakfast at Cayenne restaurant, use of non-motorised water sports equipment, and Wi-Fi. Diving, spa treatments, and motorised activities are generally charged separately. It is advisable to confirm exactly what is included at the time of booking.

Question 4

Are Baros Maldives villas good for snorkelling?

Accepted Answer

The over-water villas at Baros offer direct ladder access to the lagoon and are positioned close to the house reef, making them particularly well-suited to snorkellers. Beach villa guests can access the reef from the shore. The lagoon around the island is generally calm and clear, with good visibility on most days during the dry season.

Question 5

Is there a spa at Baros Maldives?

Accepted Answer

Baros has an on-site spa offering a range of treatments including massages, body wraps, and facials. The spa is set among the island's vegetation and treatment rooms are typically open-air or semi-open-air to take advantage of the tropical setting. Advance booking is recommended, particularly during peak season.

Question 6

Can I book Baros Maldives through Lakpura?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lakpura can arrange accommodation at Baros Maldives as part of a broader Maldives itinerary or as a standalone booking. As a destination management company with regional expertise, Lakpura can also assist with airport transfers, excursion planning, and any special arrangements for occasions such as honeymoons or anniversaries.

Question 7

What is the difference between a Baros Villa and a Deluxe Water Villa?

Accepted Answer

Both are over-water villa categories with private decks and lagoon access. The Deluxe Water Villas are typically larger in floor area and positioned to offer broader lagoon views. The upgrade is primarily one of space and position rather than a fundamental difference in design or amenity level.
