Villa 700 is a five-bedroom beachfront villa on the Galle Road at Induruwa, just south of Bentota, with a private pool, a lawn running down to the sea and direct access to the beach. Built in 2010 and formerly known as Villa 700 by Amaya, it has been managed by Jetwing Hotels since 2025, and it works as a private house: a manager, a chef, butlers and housekeepers look after the guests, and rooms can be booked one at a time or together.
All five bedrooms have their own bathroom, air conditioning, a flat-screen television, a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. They are sold in three categories, and the names below are the ones you will see when you choose a room.
Together the five rooms sleep ten to twelve, which makes the whole house a good choice for a family gathering or a group of friends; book all five and you will have the villa, the pool and the garden to yourselves.
The house is built around its pool. On the ground floor a living room with glass doors looks out over the water, and a glass-walled dining room sits beside it; upstairs there is a second lounge. Beyond the pool deck a lawn shaded by coconut palms leads to a picket fence and the beach, with a seating area out on the grass. Wi-Fi is free and there is private parking.
Breakfast is served daily in the glass-walled dining room. For lunch and dinner the villa's chef offers a mix of Sri Lankan and international dishes, from an à la carte menu alongside set menus.
The villa sits on Induruwa Beach, a quieter stretch of sand than the resort strip a few kilometres north at Bentota. The turtle hatcheries at Kosgoda are a short drive south, and Geoffrey Bawa's country garden at Lunuganga and his brother Bevis Bawa's Brief Garden are both within easy reach inland. Boat trips through the mangroves of the Madu River and along the Bentota River make good half-day outings, and Galle Fort is about an hour and a half down the coast.
Yes. Induruwa has its own station on the coastal railway between Colombo and Galle, and Bentota station is a few kilometres to the north. Let the villa or us know your train so that someone can meet you for the last short stretch along the Galle Road.
Induruwa is about 90 kilometres in a straight line south of Bandaranaike International Airport. The simplest way to arrive is a private transfer from Colombo airport to Villa 700, which takes you all the way to the door.
It suits families and groups of friends who want a beach house with staff rather than a hotel, and couples who like the idea of a quiet room by the sea with a chef on hand. For more choice on this stretch of coast see our places to stay in Induruwa, or the other Jetwing hotels around the island.
