About this experience
Step into your private, air-conditioned vehicle for a full-day tour along Sri Lanka's Southern coast, collected directly from your Bentota hotel. Over ten hours, your English-speaking chauffeur guide leads you through a working tea factory where you follow the leaf from plucking to packaging, then down to the shore to watch stilt fishermen balance on their poles above the waves. A hands-on cooking demonstration introduces you to local spices and techniques, followed by a fresh seafood lunch at your own expense.
The afternoon brings you to Galle, where you walk the ramparts of the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort and explore its Dutch colonial streets, boutiques, and churches. A chilled bottle of water is provided per person throughout the day. Gratuities and personal expenses are not included. Minimum age is five, making this a comfortable choice for families and solo travellers alike. Drop-off returns you to your Bentota hotel.
