Premium Quality Black Tea from Akbar is a 250 g box of loose high-grown Ceylon black tea, the house blend Akbar packs to export standard. The leaf is BOPF grade, a small broken leaf that brews quickly into a strong cup.
Expect a deep amber colour, a full, smooth body and a brisk, clean finish with a familiar malty aroma. It is an everyday tea that stands up well to milk and sugar, and it is just as good black.

How to brew
- One level teaspoon per cup, plus one for the pot if you like it stronger.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Brew for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain.
- Serve plain, or with milk and a little sugar.
Storage
- Once opened, keep the leaf in an airtight tin in a cool, dry cupboard.
