Hambantota, a town on Sri Lanka's south-eastern coast, is steadily developing into a commercial hub without sacrificing its natural heritage of wildlife and beaches. Sitting at the heart of this quietly evolving destination, the Peacock Beach Hotel offers guests a comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding shores and wildlife reserves, all while enjoying a commanding view of the Indian Ocean.

The hotel is situated 240 km from Colombo, Sri Lanka's commercial capital. The Hambantota Harbour was nearing completion of its first phase at the time the property was established, and plans for an international airport were already underway. For guests travelling by air, the hotel arranges shuttle services to and from the airport, which is over 200 km away.
