A mathematics workbook for Grade Two pupils, compiled by M. D. Gunasena & Co. in line with the new syllabus introduced for the primary grades. It was prepared by a panel of contributors with experience in teaching primary subjects, and is intended for use both by children at that level and by the teachers working with them.
The text is entirely in Sinhala. Buyers outside Sri Lanka should order it on that basis: it is a school workbook written for children following the Sri Lankan primary curriculum in the Sinhala medium, and there is no English text to work from. For Sinhala-speaking families abroad who want their children to keep pace with the same material being covered at home, that is precisely the point of it.
The compilation is credited to Jayasiri Kospelawaththa. M. D. Gunasena & Co. (Pvt) Ltd is a long-established Colombo publisher whose list includes school and educational titles in Sinhala and English.
