Lumbini is a picturesque tea garden lying at an altitude of almost 1,800 feet within the Ruhuna tea region, close to the Sinharajah biosphere which harbours a treasure trove of endemic fauna and flora. The warm, tropical climate and abundant rainfall mean tea bushes grow faster, producing larger, more succulent leaves that are rich in chlorophyll. This, combined with the craft of the estate's tea makers, has resulted in a quintessentially wiry, well twisted Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe that we love for its full body and strong, rounded flavour.
