Can I see elephants at Sethway Village Minneriya?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The village is situated within a wildlife corridor used by wild elephants, and sightings along the tank bunds at dusk and dawn are common. For guaranteed close-range encounters, a jeep safari into Minneriya National Park — especially between June and September — offers the best opportunity to witness large elephant herds.

What kind of accommodation is available near Sethway Village?

Accepted Answer

Accommodation in the Minneriya area ranges from eco-lodges and village homestays to small boutique properties. However, the post-monsoon months of October to January offer lush green landscapes and excellent birdwatching around the filled tanks.

Question 6
