Day-by-day itinerary

1

Day 1 — Airport > Kandy

Arrive at Colombo International Airport. Here, you will be met by a designated chauffeur guide from Lakpura. After the formalities at the airport you will be escorted to your air-conditioned Vehicle and proceed to Kandy.

At arrival your guide will hand over a hygiene pack which contains a face mask, sanitizer, tissues and some travel essentials for your ease and safety

Reach Kandy & Check-in to Hotel.

Day 2 — Kandy > Pilimathalawa > Kandy

After a leisurely breakfast leave to Pilimathalawa to experience brass works at local village house.

Thereafter procced to Three temples known as Embekke, Lankathilake and Gadaladeniya temple

Three temples are located in the Central Highlands, just a few kilometers to the south west of Kandy, a 7km (4mi) path links the Embekke, Lankathilake and Gadaladeniya temples. The path takes you past fertile rice fields and through small bustling towns lined with colorful houses and the sight of local woman swathed in vibrant saris. Along the way, chat to friendly locals and sip tea in tea stalls.

Day 3 — Kandy > Kotmale > Kandy

After breakfast leave to Kotmale to experience the toddy tapping and jaggery manufacturing process.

Toddy also known as Palm wine, known also as toddy, is an alcoholic beverage created from the sap of various species of palm tree such as the palmyra, date palms, and coconut palms. Toddy tapping (coconut). For making toddy from coconut trees, palm trees are carefully selected and the toddy tapper uses a coir rope tied with coconut husks at a 2ft interval which makes for a ladder. Then the unopened buds of the palm flower are cut and open and with 95% left remaining on the tree.

Jaggery is a traditional non-centrifugal cane sugar consumed in Asia. It is a concentrated product of cane juice and often date or palm sap without separation of the molasses and crystals, and can vary from golden brown to dark brown in color. Jaggery making is a simple process comprising crushing of sugarcane for juice extraction, filtration and boiling of juice for concentration and then cooling and solidifying to give jaggery blocks.

Day 4 — Kandy > Nuwara Eliya

After the breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya.

En-route stop at Ramboda

Ramboda Ella is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and located by the Pussellawa. Ramboda falls consists of three sections. You will get a good view of the middle section from the A5 highway, just above the bridge. This is very small in size with compared to other parts. You can get a far view of the top part from the main road, but not the complete view of the fall. You need to climb up to see the top part of the Ramboda falls and there is a pathway just before the bridge. You may find the climbing bit difficult, but you will be compensated with the great view of the top fall and the surrounding.

Reach Nuwara Eliya & Check -in to Hotel.

Rest of the day Leisure. 

Option – Commence a City Tour of Nuwara Eliya 

Visit the highland city that was the premium holiday resort town of the British in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Enjoy walking through the streets with their pretty little cottages, quaint villas and beautiful mansions. Make a memory in the old red-bricked post office as you purchase an inexpensive and colorful postcard to take home or send to your friends. Relax at Queen Victoria Park or on the shores of Lake Gregory.

Day 5 — Nuwara Eliya

After the breakfast leisurely 

Tea Factory to learn how tea is manufactured in Sri Lanka. You can observe the tea pickers, locally known as 'tea puckers' as they move between the lush green rows along the mountains with their large baskets. Thereafter you will be given a guided tour explaining fermentation, rolling, drying, cutting, sieving and the grading of tea. Finish with a tea tasting process and learn of the history, and why Ceylon Tea is considered among the best in the world.

Day 6 — Nuwara Eliya > Ella

After breakfast proceed to Ella & check in to Hotel 

Later you will be taken to a Vegetable farm & you will get to know about the farming process & how the cultivation is being done.

Thereafter proceed to Cooking demonstration activity which is a combination of Modern & Traditional Cooking Methods.

This Activity gives you the opportunity to learn the skill of authentic Sri Lankan cooking. When you visit the location, you are able to enjoy a real Sri Lankan meal. Also, we offer are traditional Sri Lankan Lunch or Dinner preparation programs as well as traditional Sweetmeat preparation programs. All the ingredients are provided for the cooking lessons.

Day 7 — Ella

After Breakfast Enjoy Adventure Cycling in Ella. 

Enjoy cycling through grassy plains, by gurgling streams, and alongside refreshing waterfalls. Visit Demodara Nine Arch Bridge through paddy fields, small tea plantations, a verity of spices. Stop by Little Adam's Peak for unbelievable views of the surrounding country side and enjoy the hike for Little Adam’s Peak with view sunrise/sunset on the rock.

Day 8 — Ella > Udawalawe

After breakfast proceed to Udawalawe & Check in to Hotel 

In the afternoon Enjoy a Wild life safari at Udawalawe national park 

Enjoy a three-hour safari which would give you a chance to explore the amazing Udawalawe National Park. Travel through the marshes, forests and grasslands of the park that was created as a sanctuary for wildlife in the 1970s. See the water birds and Sri Lankan elephants for which the park is famed. Catch glimpses of the other mammals and birds, as well as the reptiles, amphibians and butterflies.

Day 9 — Udawalawe > Galle > Bentota

After Breakfast Proceed to Bentota for a Beach Stay  

En-route stop at Galle fort & commence a City Tour.

Discover the city of Galle, where the Portuguese and Dutch made their headquarters, and its secrets. Visit the Galle Fort which is one of the best-preserved fortifications in Asia. View the Maritime Museum, Galle National Museum and the lighthouse. Walk through the cobblestoned streets with their Dutch names as you learn more about their histories.

Continue to Bentota & overnight stay at Bentota

Day 10 — Galle > BIA

After the breakfast proceed to airport after spending a memorable time in this island.
