Gampola Railway Station is 1.1 km away and Tembligala Station 4.0 km, and the bungalow is about 76 km as the crow flies from Bandaranaike International Airport.
The drive from Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake covers about 107 km and usually takes 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic and the weather, and trains stop at Gampola Railway Station, 1.1 km from the bungalow. Book the Colombo (CMB) Airport transfer to Ellerton Bungalow.
The bungalow has rooms and suites that pair colonial character with modern comforts. Each has an en-suite bathroom and comfortable beds, with views of the gardens or the mountains.
There is an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by gardens, spa treatments and massages on site, and a garden terrace for eating outdoors or reading with a view.
