Sri Budhasa Ayurveda is in the National Holiday Resort at Bentota, on Sri Lanka's south-west coast, about 62 km south of Colombo. Its Paradise Island clinic is set between the Bentota River and the sea on a long, palm-fringed sandy beach, with Bentota Railway Station 0.4 km away and Aluthgama Railway Station 1.4 km away.
Bentota is about 109 km by road from Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake, 85 km as the crow flies, and the drive usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Book the Colombo (CMB) Airport transfer to Sri Budhasa Ayurveda.
At the Paradise Island clinic, guests stay in comfortably furnished, individual bungalow-style double rooms that give a sense of privacy. You can choose a beach-front or river-front bungalow, each with its own terrace, close to the freshwater swimming pool.
The Ayurveda treatment centre has 20 well-equipped cubicles offering the full range of Ayurveda therapies, together with facilities for yoga and meditation. The focus is on a natural, simple setting and a quiet, restful atmosphere.
Sri Budhasa also runs the Ayurveda Walauwa, or Sun Sea Villa, on the southern coast about 65 km from Colombo. Set in a coconut palm garden, it is a colonial-style manor house that was for many decades the home of a nobleman, now renovated into a spacious clinic with landscaped gardens and traditional interiors with antique woodwork, a few steps from a broad sandy beach on the Indian Ocean.
